Empower Debuts at 2025 Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition

From June 17 to 20, 2025, the 2025 Essen Welding and Cutting Exhibition successfully concluded at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. The event comprehensively showcased the latest technologies, equipment, and solutions in the welding and cutting industries. Empower made a striking appearance, presenting its core products including the Laser Cutting A+B Intelligent Subsystem, Laser Welding A+B Intelligent Subsystem, handheld cutting/welding/cleaning solutions, and robotic intelligent welding solutions. The exhibition booth became one of the standout highlights of the event, drawing significant attention from industry professionals.

Handheld Cutting/Welding/Cleaning Solution

In the handheld cutting/welding/cleaning solutions zone, Empower introduced its new QCS air-cooling handheld welding integrated solution. The QCS integrates self-developed core technologies with a globally compatible laser platform, offering a versatile all-scenario handheld laser welding integrated machine kit.

The equipment features a dual-screen interactive system, where parameter adjustment knobs and the touchscreen are intelligently synchronized. With oneclick switching between welding modes, even beginners can master operation within 30 seconds. The entire unit adopts an aircooling system for efficient heat dissipation and maintenancefree operation.

Additionally, the system supports modular customization, allowing flexible configuration of the laser source, welding torch, and cooling method. It is compatible with major mainstream laser brands, providing adaptability and scalability for diverse user needs.

Laser Welding A+B Intelligent Subsystem

Additionally, the exhibition featured Empower’s key products and new releases in hybrid welding, wobbling welding, cladding/hardening/edge banding, and more. Among them:

The BF03S lightweight wobbling welding head is compact, lightweight, and integrates drive and control functions. It offers strong antiinterference capability, simplified external wiring, and adapts to diverse process requirements.

The BF12U programmable wobbling welding head is equipped with highperformance galvanometer motors, delivering exceptional flexibility, precision, and stability. With rich expansion modules, it enables easy automation and outstanding welding performance across various working conditions.

The BP06K coaxial wirefeeding laser processing head adopts a simple and reliable optical design with low operating costs. Utilizing a threebeam wireenveloping solution, it provides coaxial wire/powder delivery without directional constraints and minimizes spatter during the melting process.

Meanwhile, Empower's KW100 Laser Welding CNC System is designed to align with the operational habits and low-entrythreshold needs of the welding industry. It features an interactive teachin interface that enables welding path programming without coding.  

For laser welding process control, the system achieves dynamic coordination between laser power and motion trajectories, ensuring highquality welding results. Additionally, it supports secondary development and customization, safeguarding customers core processes and proprietary technologies.

Robotic Intelligent Welding Solution

The robotic laser-arc hybrid welding solution integrates independently developed high-performance kilowatt-level laser welding heads (BW12K/BW20K/BW30K) with mature arc welding technology, coupled with an intelligent robotic system, delivering an exceptional user experience.

Compared to standalone arc or laser welding, this solution achieves a significant leap in welding efficiency while ensuring stable welding processes and high weld strength. It offers strong adaptability, high energy utilization, and realizes synergistic effects where 1+1>2.

The kilowatt-level laser-arc hybrid welding technology effectively enhances the quality and efficiency of thick metal plate welding, showing strong potential to replace most traditional welding methods. It is widely applicable in heavy industries such as steel structure bridges, shipbuilding, engineering machinery, and container/pipeline manufacturing, driving industrial upgrading forward.

Robotic Laser Wire-Feed Welding Solution consists of a push-pull wire feeder, an integrated wire-feeding laser welding head, a control cabinet, and a robot, with an optional molten pool camera. The precision for wire push-pull, retraction, and compensation can reach ±0.2 mm.  

The integrated coaxial wire-feeding nozzle effectively prevents interference issues compared to traditional off-axis wire feeding, offering more convenient operation. The laser head is equipped with collimation and focus adjustment functions, allowing flexible control of the focal position along the Z-axis.

The system supports multiple communication methods, including I/O, Modbus TCP, and Profinet.

Laser Cutting A+B Intelligent Subsystem

In the laser cutting A+B intelligent subsystem display area, Empower's XC5000 Laser Bevel Cutting System and Intelligent Gas Mixing Solution were particularly impressive.  

The XC5000 Laser Bevel Cutting System is equipped with visual calibration functionality. By simply activating the red light, the system uses camera detection to automatically correct the simulation parameters of the beveling axis and cutting head. At the same time, the system automatically calculates the processing path and completes cutting in a single pass, ensuring both precision and improved efficiency.  

In the Intelligent Gas Mixing Solution, the XC6000 system controls the highlow pressure proportional valves of the machine tool through an intelligent gas mixing algorithm. This enables automatic adjustment of gas concentration with millisecondlevel dynamic correction, surpassing the thickness limits of traditional air or nitrogen cutting and achieving highquality, efficient mixedgas cutting.

The Desktop Cutting Machine Solution also drew considerable attention from visitors. Compared to earlier traditional "large machines," this equipment is relatively compact. It is integrated with our independently developed cutting control system, which combines features such as a mobile app and cloudbased nesting functionality, making it suitable for desktop and smalltomediumsized cutting, welding, and other equipment applications.  

The EDK2025 Cutting System is compact, highperforming, stable, and reliable, capable of replacing existing embedded cutting systems such as plasma or flame cutting. Suitable for various sheet metal processing, prototyping, welding, and other scenarios, it effectively reduces overall equipment costs while enhancing sheet metal production efficiency.
